i don't particularly like the handle on this gate. you have to squeeze both button as you open or shut gate. i am not ambidextrous and often have to stop and swith things from hand to hand in order to operate gate. this is my only complaint.

Was never an easy gate to open, but as time passed, it's become almost impossible for me to open. My wife had never been able to open it. In-laws can't either but that doesn't bother me as much.

This is a great gate. You cannot beat the price for what you get. I had read a few negative reviews abou thtis gate and was leary to purchase. Reluctantly I did and I love it. It did take a minute to get used to it but it is very simple to install and to use. I have had the gate over 3 months and never had a problem. Keeps my son and pets out of areas they dont need to be. I HIGHLY recommend, so much that I just purchased my second one! Good luck all

I bought one of these a few years ago and loved it. The updated version is even easier to use. I keep one at the top of the stairs and one at the bottom. Very sturdy.

I bought this gate to keep my 1 year old off the steps. You are supposed to be able to push the button and a piece of plastic down and it open. Noooo my older children plow through it to get it open if they push to hard it flings out of the door way.
