Product Description
Manufacturer: Bionaire Model #: BW2300 Condition: Brand New In Retail Box List Price: $79.99 Description: With a remote control for convenient adjustment, this double window fan draws in fresh, cool air from the outside or exhausts stale, hot air from inside. It can also do both simultaneously, because each of the two fans can be set independently to draw in or exhaust out, allowing the unit to exchange inside and outside air. Operable either manually or automatically--with its thermostat turning the fans off and on to maintain a selected temperature--the unit has three speeds, electronic controls, and an LCD screen showing the selected temperature and the room temperature. The remote control (two AAA batteries are included) alters speed, manual/automatic operation, air-flow direction, and temperature. The twin fan is designed to fit double-hung, vertical-slider, and casement windows. A built-in 7-inch extender and two 3-inch extenders permit custom fitting for windows from 24 to 37 inches wide. Because the unit is lightweight plastic it can be moved easily from room to room. The fans have six blades and measure 8-1/2 inches in diameter. Overall, the unit is 13 inches high, arrives fully assembled, and carries a five-year warranty against defects. Features: - Draws in cool air, exhausts hot air, or exchanges air with outside

- Thermostat turns fan off/on to maintain selected comfort level

Great window fan September 1, 2008 Everything Electronics (Hoboken, NJ USA) I'm very impressed with the fan. It creates great circulation and fits the window flawlessly...even with a screen on. I would highly recommend this fan if you're looking to create a little breeze through your house or apt!
I payed $45 for this fan about a month ago... September 1, 2008 M. Chetwynd (Wilmington, MA USA) I went back to Amazon about a week ago to buy another and the price was $54. Then I checked again 2 days later and the price was $99. I came back today to check the price and they want $149. What the heck is that all about. I'll buy another at $45 and no more. I hate when internet companies try and rip you off. And that's exactly what they're trying to do. If you can get it for $45, I recommend buying it. Update. It's seems they've brought the price back down to $54. Interesting. Let's see if it goes back to $45.
Great window fan. July 14, 2008 Aeri Yu (San Jose, CA United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've had this fan more than a year now and decided to write a review after having bought a Honeywell window fan. I guess I didn't really appreciate this bionaire before I used the other fan, Honeywell. Honeywell window fan is so loud that I can't use it for my bedroom. So I decided to use it for the living room, but now I have to turn up the TV volume higher and get irritated by the noise. But, bionaire's quite and circulate air very well. I really recommend this bionaire fan to anyone comparing between Honeywell and Bionaire.
Great fan, powerful and quiet, but don't count on temp control May 14, 2008 J. Donaldson (Camarillo, CA USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
As others have said the temperature control auto mode is useless. However I didn't buy it for that feature so I don't care. Poor production quality though. This fan was very easy to set up and operate. I appreciate the ability to change the air flow direction. The fans are both quiet and powerful. The remote works well. Our house is well insulated with 6" exterior walls. Once it gets hot from the sun coming in through the large glass surfaces it is hard to cool off even though the evening outside air is cool. This window fan pulls warm air out of the house allowing us to open windows in strategic places to draw in cool air. The first time we used it it paid for itself.
Intelligent product April 27, 2008 J. A. Chestman I read a review that someone said that it turns off automatically after it reaches a certain temperature. While this is true, it also has a setting to not turn off at all. It has a built in temperature guage setting, so depending on what temperature you want the room, the fan will turn off once it reaches that temperature but then goes back on to keep the temperture you desire. I find this feature great since the room will be whatever temperature you would like from 60 degrees to I think 90. If you don't like this feature then you can simply choose the auto setting which will stay on until you turn it off. Either way, it has 3 speeds for both the temperature guage and the suto settings. I believe it even has a timer, but I'm still getting to know about this product since I just bought it 5 days ago. My mother has had this product for about 1 year and she said she loves it. It does truly make the room colder, on like a 85 degree day it made the room feel comfortable, I was able to drop the room temp to 75 degrees. It has two intake and exhaust settings, so you can also make air come in and pull air out, which I think will cool the room off and pull hot air out. It comes with a remote, but haven't really needed to use it yet. Somethings I didn't like: The only thing I didn't like too much was how loud it is. Well, I slept with it in my bedroom, but I thought it was a little too loud although I slept through the noise. Also, I don't like the fact of having to take it out of the window and putting it back up, but I guess you can just leave it there if you like the windows open. I just didn't like how it looked from the outside of my house. It doesn't look terible, I just thought it didn't look that nice, and inside it looks ok. I've never really owned a windeo fan so I guess the look is something to get used to looking at? Well, these reasons are why I gave it a 4 star rating. If you're someone who needs the room silent then this might not be for you. I thought it worked well in my living room since the room was bigger, I'm not really trying to be in a quiet room, and I couldn't really hear the noise. Just like most things, buy it at a store and try it until the warrant is about to run out and if you don't like it then return it. The only thing you have too loose is some time.
