    4 out of 5 stars Great Product..Need More Glue   January 16, 2008

I just installed the Storm Shield today and I must say the directions are great and the installation is pretty easy. One suggestion I have is to buy a small tube of liquid Nails to suppliment the glue which comes with the product. I only needed 8 feet of my 10 foot strip and I really had to work to get enough glue out of that tube. I used 1 inch masking tape on each side of the strip so any glue that came out as I was pressing it down would be easily removed from the floor when I pulled up the tape. Another tip is to let the strip lay in the sun until it lays flat on the ground...otherwise you will need to put something heavy on the ends to prevent them from curling up while the glue is drying. Once the strip was in I couldn't see any light under the door, BUT the corners of the garage door are not blocked by the strip. So I used some of the extra strip I had to make corner guards...tomorrow I will ad some coulking to the corners to create a COMPLETE seal. Now I will need to wait for the next Big California storm.

3 out of 5 stars Good basic protection.   November 23, 2007

Very good performance in the harsh Maine weather. Has sealed the door quite well despite high winds and driving rain.

The adhesive was quite difficult to apply without a caulk gun. The adhesive is supplied in a toothpaste-type container. This is a significant flaw as the glue supply is meager. Easy to correctly install. Good instructions.

    A decent value.

4 out of 5 stars Saved my garage!   August 11, 2007

I had problems with water coming under my garage door. It rained right after we got it installed and it let nothing in. The installation isn't difficult, but you have to play with it a bit to get a tight fit that won't make the door go back up. We had to trim and cut off some of the top to make a tight fit on the ends.

4 out of 5 stars Garage Door Threshold   January 10, 2007

After paving my driveway, rain water would pool outside the garage door and flow into the garage. The threshold has solved this problem at least for two good rains. I added a soft insulating strip to the underside of the door to make a better seal against drafts, since my garage is under my living area.
