Fun but not long-lasting July 14, 2008 Ronnie (Richmond, VA) We just bought this in June and my 4 and 6 year-old sons got two uses out of it and now two of the compartments have holes somewhere that we are not able to find and repair. Fun toy but not durable enough.
Definitely worth it .. read on ... July 14, 2008 a reader (Chicago, IL) This pool is definitely worth the price. You can easily pay $35 for a family of 4 to get into a water park for one day of fun. (What I paid for this pool ... and actually last year there was a sale for $10 off of it .. so keep your eyes open for sales or coupons.) My pool from last year only lasted one summer, but that is because I didn't take care of it. Yes, it's made of plastic. You can't expect to leave it out in the elements and for it to last for any amount of time. My kids loved it so much. I actually got rid of a hard side pool (hard to store) for this because it is easy to store. They love getting a running start and jumping on their tummies to slide and splash into the pool. They will do it for hours. But when they are done for the day, I drain the pool and carefully drag it into my garage. Just lean it against the back wall. I only had to add some air to the slide once so far. If you leave it out and the wind whips it around your backyard, yes it will hit something sharp eventually and get destroyed. Or the sun and wind damage will affect the plastic. Take care of it and it will last. It is worth it. I have already gotten my monies worth out of it this summer.
Cannonball July 14, 2008 Wendy in VA (Ashburn, VA United States) The kids have fun as top of the slide is approx. 2-3 ft high so they can run and jump onto it BUT......the slide is a separate piece from the pool so it is almost impossible to keep the two hooked together which means (a) a parent is constanty pushing the two parts close together so the kids don't go head first on the ground in between the two parts and (b) all of the wather that squirts out of the slide runs down the slide and onto the grass instead of into the pool as the connection between the two is so poor.
Got my money's worth for sure ! July 12, 2008 S. C. Kay (Erie, PA) I was skeptical, because my son was turning 10 and I thought it might be too small for him and his friends. Have no fear - ages 4-13 Loved it ! I had 18 kids (boys mostly) in my backyard for two hours using it and they all had a blast !!! Best birthday party ever! One hint though - buy a Slip'n slide to continue the ride longer. The boys had a great time seeing who could slide the farthest! Just don't inflate the Pool part all the way and it will work great. I did add a some duct tape where the velcro strips were, because i didn't think the velcro would hold. The tape worked well. After 3 days, the body board got a small hole where the seam is, so i patched it. You don't have to use the board, but it is better if you do. If this product lasts the rest of the summer - I've definitely gotten more than my money's worth!!!!!!!
RIP OFF! July 12, 2008 Donielle Sites (Stevensville, MI) MUCH smaller than they make it appear. My kids were very disappointed, and by the time you have it all blown up, it's too late! Way too hard to repackage! Save your money...and heart break. By the way, mine's already popped!
